Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes the policies of Uno Loco Limited (“Hula”, “we”, “us”, “our”) on the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information that we collect when you use our website (https://www.hula.nz) (the “Site”).

Overseas Disclosure of Information

Some of the third party providers we use to provide our goods and services to you (including cloud-based platforms we use for hosting, analytics, customer management or communications) may be located outside New Zealand. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than New Zealand. We will only disclose your personal information to a third party that is located overseas if we have reasonable grounds to believe that it will protect your personal information in a way that provides similar protections to those under the Privacy Act 2020, or if we otherwise have a legal basis to do so.

Retention of Your Information

We will retain your personal information for as long as we need it to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected as detailed in this Privacy Policy.

We may need to retain certain information for longer periods for record-keeping, reporting obligations, enforcement of legal rights, fraud prevention, or other legitimate reasons in accordance with applicable law.

Analytics and advertising data may be retained by third party providers according to their own retention policies. We do not control these retention periods.

Residual anonymous information and aggregate information, neither of which identifies you directly or indirectly, may be stored indefinitely.

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

  • request access to your personal information; and

  • request correction of your personal information

We may require reasonable evidence of identity before granting access to personal information, to protect against unauthorised disclosure. We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably practicable and in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.

Do note that if you do not allow us to collect or process the required personal information or withdraw consent to process the same for the required purposes, you may not be able to access or use the services for which your information was sought.

Security

The security of your information is important to us and we will use reasonable security measures to prevent the loss, misuse or unauthorised alteration of your information under our control. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we recommend that you take precautions in protecting your personal information while using the internet.

Children’s Privacy

Our Site and services are not directed at children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe that personal information relating to a child has been provided to us without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
